Verification statuses
Every record carries a status showing how far its evidence has been checked. A status describes the state of the paperwork — it is never a finding about a person.
- Unverified
- Reported, but the evidence has not been checked yet.
- A report exists but the supporting material has not been assessed.
- Under review
- A reviewer is looking at this now.
- A reviewer is currently assessing the submitted material.
- Evidence corroborated
- Supporting material was independently confirmed.
- Submitted material was checked against at least one independent source. This describes the evidence, not a finding of guilt.
- Reported to platform
- Passed to the platform's safety team. The outcome is not known.
- The material was forwarded to the platform's trust and safety team. It does not indicate what action, if any, the platform took.
- Passed to law enforcement. That is not a charge or a conviction.
- The material was referred to a law enforcement body. A referral is not a charge, a prosecution or a conviction.
- Disputed
- Someone has contested this record. Read the note on it.
- The subject of the record, or another party, has contested its accuracy. The dispute is recorded alongside the record.
- Closed
- No further review planned. That is not a conclusion either way.
- No further review is planned. Closure does not imply a conclusion either way.
